Hour banks and retainers, on top of the hours you log.
Budgets are how Timero tracks what a client bought, once the hours are logged. Clients who pay as they go need none of this.

Hour bank or retainer
A bank drains until it is empty. A retainer is one month's allowance and does not carry over. Each hour goes to the month's retainer first, then the oldest bank, never past a budget's size.
All client work, or chosen projects
One budget can cover the whole client, or only the projects you pick, with an expiry, a PO number and a paid mark.
Due hours, never swallowed
Work no budget covers shows as due hours, entry by entry with the reason, and you decide what happens to it. Due hours and low-balance emails come with Pro.
It all starts with the hours you log.
Log on the calendar or the timer, then send each client a clear report. Budgets count the same hours, nothing extra to enter.
