Cursor and other MCP clients
Bill the hour from the editor. No tab switching.
Any MCP client that sends a bearer header can use Timero: Cursor, Windsurf, Zed and others. Paste the server address and your API key, then ask it to log time.
Connect Cursor
AgencyServer address: https://timero.work/api/mcp
- 1.Create an API key in Timero Settings.
- 2.Add the server with the key as a bearer header.

"url": "https://timero.work/api/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer tmk_…" } } } }Then say
- “Log two hours on Northwind's app project for today, checkout flow.”
- “How many hours are left on Acme's retainer this month?”

Cursor acts as you, with your role, inside the one workspace you approve. Every time entry, budget and report follows the same rules as the app.
Questions
- Which Timero plan do I need?
- Claude and ChatGPT connect on Pro and Agency. Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients use an API key, which comes with Agency. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial, no card.
- What can the assistant see?
- Only the one workspace you approve at sign-in, with your own role and permissions. It sees clients, projects, budgets and time entries the same way you do in the app, and nothing else.
- How do I disconnect it?
- In Timero, open Settings, then Connected apps or API keys, and revoke the entry. Access ends at once.
